If you have not yet done so and are a leader in a church, please seek incorporation of your church as a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation. This will provide protection for your church leaders as officers of the corporation, and will reduce costs for insurance coverage.
If you have incorporated, please confirm that your bylaws are current and being observed. The board of directors is typically required to meet at least annually, and there should be documented minutes of that meeting.
